a beautifully smooth canadian whiskey. picked it up on a whim wanting to try something new tonight and i’m not disappointed.
sweet caramel + vanilla nose, almost a “fresh bakery” to it without heavy alcoholic scent. really smooth body with flavors of maplewood, orange, and spice. solid finish with prominent cedar, grain, and fruit.
MSRP $25-30, really amazing for the price considering you’d be lucky to get something this good for twice that. beats out regular Crown Royal as my go-to whiskey, but doesn’t quite edge out Crown Black or some of my favorite single malt scotches.

cool indie game, had to have been influenced by House of Leaves
it’s based on http://www.scp-wiki.net/
which is definitely inspired by house of leaves!
inspired by house of leaves, in that it’s a complete waste of time
the scariest game ever made
(if you have a deadly fear of staircases)
honestly this is an incredibly cool idea. yes, it’s the same thing forever, but that’s the point. it uses procedural generation to stop the game at a random floor, so the outcome is potentially different and jarring for each person playing it that expects it at floor 70, 150, etc. the SCPs are some of my favorite things ever and this is a great start. does it play well as a game? no, of course not, but it’s a fun, if plodding and torturous, thrill ride :]
also house of leaves is pretty neat, as is ergodic literature in general so whatevs

MORTI
the sound effect data from Batrider and Battle Garegga. a treasure trove of classic explosions, clangs, and other fun sounds typical of action-packed Japanese media. also some humorous and awesome voices.
